Entrepreneurship Seminar Held in Parwan Province
An entrepreneurship seminar for hundreds of youth was held in the press hall of the Department of Information and Culture of Parwan province. The seminar was organized by the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO) and the Afghan National Association for Adult Education (ANAFAE), in collaboration with the Charikar Experts Educational Center and the Department of Information and Culture of Parwan. During the seminar, participants learned about entrepreneurship-related topics and shared their views and ideas regarding entrepreneurial opportunities.
Speakers highlighted the invaluable role of youth in the country’s development, adding that Afghanistan needs the talents, creativity, and initiatives of its youth more than ever. They emphasized that the young generation must prepare themselves for a bright future through effort, perseverance, and the acquisition of knowledge. According to them, true talent is never hidden, and opportunities for growth and progress are always provided for those who possess it.
Abdul Qahar Beheshti, Programs and Research Manager at the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO), stated that the purpose of holding this seminar was to foster an entrepreneurial mindset and familiarize youth with methods for creating and developing businesses. He added that this organization has been conducting various educational and awareness programs for youth since 2009 and holds entrepreneurship seminars and camps for hundreds of young people every year. According to him, hundreds of teams participate in entrepreneurship camps annually, and at the end, the top three teams are selected to receive support and investment.
Subsequently, Mohammad Qasem Mohseni, an entrepreneurship trainer and general manager of ANAFAE programs, and Mohammad Nazir Hashemi, a certified trainer of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in the SIYB (Start and Improve Your Business) program, spoke on topics related to entrepreneurship and the SIYB program, emphasizing the importance of effort, innovation, and seizing opportunities by the youth. Participants also presented their views and perspectives on small business opportunities in Parwan province.
In conclusion, Mohammad Mansoor Bayat, the director of the Charikar Experts Educational Center, summarized the seminar and shared his own perspectives with the participants. The program concluded with the presentation of books to the guests and the distribution of certificates to the participants.
