Entrepreneurship Camp 2026 – Supporting Youth Entrepreneurial Initiatives for a Prosperous Afghanistan
The Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO), in collaboration with Kateb University, is organizing the fourth round of the Entrepreneurship Camp 2026 as an innovative initiative. This program will be held in Kabul with the participation of young entrepreneurs, including women, from across Afghanistan.
The Entrepreneurship Camp is designed to promote entrepreneurial thinking, foster economic development, generate employment opportunities, and support creativity and innovation as a means of reducing poverty in Afghanistan. Creative and innovative youth from across the country will compete for the prestigious Golden Entrepreneurship Award.
At the end of the competition, three outstanding teams will receive financial and technical support from AELSO and Kateb University.
Eligibility Criteria for Participation
- Residency in one of the provinces of Afghanistan
- Current university student or graduate
- Possession of a creative or innovative business idea
- Age between 18 and 35 years
Entrepreneurial Team Requirements
- A new and innovative entrepreneurial idea
- A creative name for the business concept
- A team of four members (all-male or all-female teams only; mixed-gender teams are not eligible)
- All team members must reside in the same province
- Team members must not be from the same immediate family
- Selection of one member as the team leader
Entrepreneurial Proposal Requirements
- The proposal must adopt an innovative approach to addressing a social or economic challenge within the team’s respective province
- Clearly defined primary objectives
- Clearly outlined expected outcomes
- Demonstrated potential for job creation and employment generation
- An Implementation timeline not exceeding six months
Selection Process for Top Teams
Participants from all 34 provinces of Afghanistan may register and compete in the camp. From among all participating teams, three top teams will be selected as follows:
- Proposals will be submitted to the Evaluation Panel through the official Entrepreneurship Camp application form
- Partner universities may nominate their teams for participation
- All proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by the technical team and leadership board through online platforms
- Top teams will be selected based on the votes of the leadership board
- Final results and the announcement of the three winning teams will take place in a formal closing ceremony
Financial Support
At the end of the camp, three winning teams will be selected based on public voting and evaluation by the leadership board. These teams will receive financial and technical support ranging from AFN 50,000 to AFN 300,000.
All teams are required to design their proposals within this funding range. Proposals exceeding this budget will not be considered. Applicants must ensure that their business ideas are realistically implementable within the specified budget.
The leadership board will select first, second, and third place winners based on technical and practical considerations, with the highest funding allocated to the first-place team.
Conditions for Financial Support
- Qualification among the top three teams of the AELSO Entrepreneurship Camp
- Ability to provide a written guarantee for implementation of the project
- Allowing AELSO’s executive team to monitor business implementation
- Submission of monthly progress reports by team leaders
- If the project is not implemented within three months after winning, the allocated funds must be returned to AELSO
- Responsibility for full repayment lies with the team leader and guarantor
- Funds will be disbursed in 3 installments based on progress and proper implementation

- Upload scanned copies of the national ID (Tazkira) of all team members, including the team leader, in a single PDF file
- Prepare a PowerPoint presentation summarizing your proposal and present it during the interview with all team members present
