Durani Waziri graduated from Kabul University by completing her education in religious studies and obtaining a Bachelor’s degree. She has also completed her studies in the fields of good governance and rule of law in the University of Ohio in United States. Mrs. Durani obtained her Master’s degree after completing her education in Ohio University in 2013.
She has also served in high level government posts including as advisor to the ministry of justice, Attorney General’s Office, and the Independent High Office of oversight and Anti-Corruption.
Durani Waziri was the first Afghan woman to obtain a membership of the Attorney Association of Afghanistan.
She has served as a member of Attorney Association of Afghanistan from 2000 to 2011 and she has a close relation with national and international organizations and she is one of the founders and a board member of the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO).
Currently she is working as President Ashraf Ghani’s deputy spokesperson.
