The Factors and Consequences of Girls’ Lack of Education in Afghanistan

One of the important and hot topics that has attracted everyone’s attention for years is whether women, like men, enjoy rights and privileges, or not? What rights has Islam granted to women? Has Islam granted women the right to work and education? Islam is a comprehensive, complete, and all-encompassing religion that is applicable in all dimensions of human life, under any circumstances and at any time. So, how could it possibly deprive women, who constitute half of the world’s population, of their rights?

Before the advent of the holy religion of Islam, oppression and tyranny, especially the right to kill women, were at their peak to the extent that the existence of a daughter was a disgrace to a family, and they felt ashamed of having a daughter from birth, even burying her alive. Society was patriarchal, and the rights of half of society were violated, but all these problems, and even thousands of other problems that caused injustice and unfairness, disappeared, and religious teachings replaced them, in which no human right is violated, and value and dignity are bestowed upon every human being, considering humans as the noblest of creatures.

The criterion for superiority among humans is piety, meaning that a good and valuable human being is one who is pious, not one who belongs to a particular tribe or race or is male.

Today’s society, with an increase in population, is accompanied by advancements, and women are also half of this society, and undoubtedly, women have been included in these advancements. Therefore, these women should enjoy rights, privileges, and duties just like men, which every human being should have.

However, despite all this, there are still countries where women are deprived of their human rights, and society is still patriarchal, such as Afghanistan and other Islamic countries, where these violations have taken place by abusing religion, and other factors that we have discussed in detail in this article. To find out what factors have led to these violations, especially what factors have led to the lack of education for girls in Afghanistan? And what consequences will this lack of education for girls have, and still, what solution can be found to solve this problem, has been addressed in this article.
