Think BiG | Conference on Peace, Liberty, & Prosperity
The Academy of the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO) with cooperation of Rana University organized a full one-day conference under the title of “Think BiG” with the aim of education and promotion of the free society values in 17th October 2019 in Kabul, Afghanistan.
On this conference 300+ university students, civil and human rights activists, well-known scholars, and policy makers participated. also a number of well-known Afghan scholars, politicians, and human rights activist such as H.E M. Younus Qanoni the farmer vice president of Afghanistan, H.E Anwarulhaq Hadi the former finance minister of the Islamic republic of Afghanistan, H.E Sayed Khalilullah Anwari the leader of HIP Party, well known writers and journalist shared their thoughts and views to how we can bring peace, liberty, and prosperity in Afghanistan.
The conference was covering by LIVE broadcasting of Tolo News TV which is one of the most popular private TV channels of Afghanistan and has the most viewers and ranked as the 1st media of Afghanistan and also more than 27 other national and international media who are working in Afghanistan broadcasted the conference on their many programs.
The program covers various topics, from the contribution of free markets to prosperity, the importance of human rights and the rule of law, to the connection between religion and individual liberty. Famous local scholars presented their research and insights from these fields, and the participants found the chance to hear from policymakers, think tank leaders and other key actor from civil society about these ideas. The participants received 4 AELSO Academy Credits!
All the speakers of the conference emphasized a lot on the importance of such academic events and declared that such conferences can show the people the right paths toward bringing of a sustainable peace, liberty and prosperity in the country.
The participants of the conference beside learning and enhancing of their knowledge about the ideas of classical liberalism, shared their concepts and views regarding bringing of peace, liberty and prosperity in Afghanistan.
We organized the same conference in Paktia province earlier of this month with all the security challenges, now in Kabul and we are going to organize the same model conference in Herat and Balkh province in next two months.
