AELSO June 28, 2025 Recent News

The Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO), in cooperation with Isteqlal Isntitute of Higher Education, organized the Entrepreneurship Camp 2025 in Kabul, with the wide participation of young entrepreneurs, university professors, evaluation board memebers, representatives of entrepreneurial teams from across Afghanistan, and those interested in innovation and entrepreneurship.

This program, as one of AELSO’s most important initiatives, provided a competitive and inspiring environment for Afghan youth to present their entrepreneurial projects, receive valuable guidance and feedback, and gain opportunities for access to financial and technical support. The main goal of the camp was to help transform the innovative ideas of young people into successful and sustainable businesses, enabling them to play an effective role in Afghanistan’s economic and social development.

In the Entrepreneurship Camp 2025, speakers, organizers, mentors, and judges, by presenting insights, guidance, and valuable networking opportunities, worked to encourage and support young entrepreneurs and students to step into entrepreneurial activities and play an effective role in Afghanistan’s socio-economic prosperity.

Sayed Mohsen Habil, the Chancellor of Isteqlal Institute of Higher Education, said during his speech:

“AELSO, with the initiative of promoting entrepreneurship in society and organizing entrepreneurship camps, especially the Entrepreneurship Camp 2025, has brought universities and society from the 18th century to the 21st century. Furthermore, our young people have shown that no limitation can stand in the way of their creativity and innovation. We are proud of our youth’s capabilities and believe that the future of Afghanistan will be built by their hands.”

In this camp, out of 118 young entrepreneurial teams consisting of men, women, and girls from across Afghanistan, 94 teams qualified for the evaluation stage by the jury panel. After thorough evaluations and several rounds of competition, ultimately, six top teams advanced to the final round of the camp.

In the final round of the Entrepreneurship Camp, the six best teams presented their ideas to the jury panel, answered key questions, and after intense competition, the following results were achieved:

  • DOT Team from Kabul province won first place by creating a practical automatic machine for bakeries to improve the level of food security.
  • Royesh Sabz Bamyan Team from Bamiyan province earned second place with the production of compost fertilizer and contributing to a sustainable healthy environment.
  • Didban Binayi Team from Badakhshan province secured third place by offering organic cosmetic products produced by women for women.
  • Shafa Barg Team from Kabul province achieved fourth place with the production of olive leaf tea by women.
  • Barak Bafan Team from Bamyan province took fifth place by presenting the best Barak fabrics and Bark clothing.
  • Finally, Technor Team from Balkh province earned sixth place by providing professional mobile and computer repair services by women for women.

Sardar Rezaie, the award winner of the Entrepreneurship Camp 2025 and founder of the Royesh Sabz Bamiyan team, said:

“The Entrepreneurship Camp was a platform for us to bring our dreams closer to reality. I believe every Afghan youth can play a significant role in the country’s development if they are supported. I sincerely thank AELSO for the initiative and for organizing such a valuable program that provided us with opportunities for growth, learning, and support.”

Based on the final decision of the jury panel, the top three teams were deemed eligible for financial and technical support from the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO) to implement their entrepreneurial projects. These supports are an important step towards creating new job opportunities, strengthening the local economy, and empowering youth, especially women and girls.

The Entrepreneurship Camp 2025 concluded with the awarding of trophies to the winning teams, plaques of appreciation and books to the jury members, certificates of appreciation for the runner-up teams, acknowledgments to other entrepreneurial teams, and certificates for all camp participants.

At the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO), we sincerely appreciate all the speakers, organizers, partners, and participants who contributed to the successful organization of the Entrepreneurship Camp 2025.
