The youth of Balkh have learned from the world of entrepreneurship
The Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO), in collaboration with Mawlana University, organized an entrepreneurship seminar in Balkh province.
In this seminar, the speakers first discussed the importance, benefits, opportunities, and challenges of the world of entrepreneurship. They described the role of entrepreneurship as vital in reducing poverty, creating sustainable employment, driving social change, improving quality of life, enhancing prosperity, and promoting economic development, referring to it as the driving force of the global economy today.
In this seminar, the speakers emphasized promoting and fostering an entrepreneurial culture in society. They stated that practical steps must be taken to build an entrepreneurial society, and various institutions should collaborate and work together to lay the foundation for an entrepreneurial community in Afghanistan.
The program’s mentors provided specialized discussions on various aspects of entrepreneurship and becoming an entrepreneur, offering scientific guidelines to the participants. These guidelines were intended to serve as a roadmap for participants to use in growing and strengthening their businesses. Additionally, necessary guidance was provided on participating in and competing in the 2025 Entrepreneurship Camp organized by AELSO.
In another part of the seminar, entrepreneurship opportunities in Balkh province were discussed. Participants highlighted opportunities in areas such as tourism, agriculture, livestock, handicrafts, and local production. Emphasis was placed on the potential of entrepreneurship to reduce poverty and promote economic development.
At the end of the program, the organizers emphasized the need for innovative thinking, risk-taking, acquiring new knowledge and skills, fostering an entrepreneurial culture, expanding and strengthening entrepreneurial capacities, creating supportive platforms, and participating in and competing in the entrepreneurship camp.
The Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization, while expressing gratitude to all speakers, guests, mentors, participants, and Mawlana University, emphasizes the continuation of such programs. The organization will create the necessary platforms in various dimensions to turn entrepreneurship into a dominant discourse in society.
