The seminar on Economic Indicators of Sustainable Development and Entrepreneurship was organized by the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO) in collaboration with Khatam al-Nabiyyin University, with the participation of leadership from both institutions, professors, entrepreneurs, and students.

In this academic seminar, speakers, economic experts, and entrepreneurship practitioners examined various aspects of sustainable development in connection with economic indicators, the environment, and innovation.

The main goal of the program was a scientific analysis of indicators such as green GDP, sustainable employment rates, reduction of economic inequality, investment in innovation, and the direct impact of entrepreneurship on improving these indicators.

The speakers highlighted the role of entrepreneurs in creating job opportunities, reducing poverty, fostering local economic growth, and developing environmentally-friendly technologies, emphasizing that entrepreneurship can act as a driving force for sustainable development.

According to the speakers and trainers, sustainable development is a concept that simultaneously pursues economic growth, social justice, and environmental protection. In this context, entrepreneurship serves as a key driver of economic and social transformation, playing a crucial role in achieving the goals of sustainable development.

The speakers and trainers also stated that poverty reduction is one of the primary objectives of sustainable development, which is directly linked to the creation of job opportunities by entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs, through establishing innovative businesses, particularly in the fields of technology, environment, and services, generate new employment opportunities. Local entrepreneurship contributes to economic growth in remote and underdeveloped areas and promotes a more balanced distribution of resources.

Furthermore, during the program, emphasis was placed on the need to support small and medium-sized enterprises, improve the legal environment for innovation, integrate entrepreneurship education into the curriculum, and create a foundation for promoting an entrepreneurial culture.

At the conclusion of the seminar, participants expressed their desire for the continuation of such academic meetings and the strengthening of cooperation among academic institutions to promote an entrepreneurial culture, support entrepreneurs, and provide the necessary framework for economic indicators of sustainable development.

This seminar provided an excellent opportunity to lay the groundwork for supporting entrepreneurs, strengthen collaborative efforts, shape economic thinking based on entrepreneurship, motivate professional training in entrepreneurship, acquire new skills, and exchange ideas on how to achieve economic indicators of sustainable development.

AELSO, while expressing gratitude to Khatam al-Nabiyyin University, is committed to playing an effective role in enhancing knowledge, awareness, and strengthening the scientific and professional capacities of the younger generation in the field of entrepreneurship through organizing such programs, thereby contributing to sustainable development.
