The Kabul Economic Debate was organized by the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO) in collaboration with Khatam Al-Nabieen University on Monday, February 16, 2026 at the university’s conference hall.

This academic–analytical debate brought together university professors, researchers, entrepreneurs, economic actors, students, and stakeholders in the field of economics to discuss the role of the green economy in Afghanistan’s sustainable development, environmental diplomacy in international relations, and practical solutions to improve the country’s economic and environmental conditions.

The speakers and panelists presented expert perspectives and applied analyses, emphasizing the urgent need to transition toward green economic models, invest in renewable energy, and strengthen regional and international cooperation. Dr. Shuja Hussain Mohseni, chancellor of Khatam Al-Nabieen University, highlighted the importance of achieving climate justice through environmental diplomacy, stating:

In the final segment of the program, the latest machine developed by the DOT Team—winner of first place at the 2025 Entrepreneurship Camp—was officially unveiled in the presence of the university and institutional leadership.

Abdullah Salmanpour, Director of the DOT Team, explained:
