Freedom and Economics Seminar| Khost
The “Freedom and Economics Seminar”, initiated by the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO), in collaboration with Dawat University, invited and hosted nearly 100 participants, including professors, social activists, freedom defenders, students, and youth in Khost province.
During this seminar, participants and experts discussed the components of freedom, economic development ideas, the importance of freedom and entrepreneurship in economic growth and development, human resource capacity building, and its role in economic growth. They also exchanged their views and discussed the responsibility of universities in producing entrepreneurial human resources, the challenges of entrepreneurship, and possible solutions.
The “Freedom and Economics Seminar” inaugurated with the speech of Mohammad Hanif Farzan, Chairman of AELSO and continued by the speech of respected speakers namely: Rahmatullah Jan Samim, Chancellor of Dawat University, Ekhter Mohammad Akramah, Head of Khost Economic Department, Abdul Qaher Beheshti, General Programs Director of AELSO, Amir Khan Hemat, academic vice chancellor of Dawat University, along with other professors and academic experts who spoke on the topics of freedom, entrepreneurship, economic growth, and entrepreneurship education provided by the university.
In the open mic section, the program participants expressed their views on freedom and the economic situation in Afghanistan and presented their suggestions to the leadership board of the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO), the Khost Economic Directorate, and Dawat University.
Abdullah Aryan, Dean of the Law Faculty at Dawat University, summarized the seminar and added: ” Organizing discussion session on economics, entrepreneurship, and human values topics create opportunities for innovation in entrepreneurship and the promotion of human values in society. We hope that conducting such programs expand in Khost and Afghanistan by AELSO, to provide society with entrepreneurial and creative human resources.”
The “Freedom and Economics Seminar” concluded with the distribution of books by AELSO to the leadership board of Dawat university and program guests, continued with the distribution of certificates to the participants, and the donation of a collection of books from the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO) to Dawat university library.
