Supporting Youth’s Economic Initiatives for a Prosperous Afghanistan

The Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO) is honoured to announce the launch of a unique initiative under the title of “Entrepreneurship Camp”, in collaboration with the University of Bakhtar and a network of national merchants, with the participation of youth from all over of the country in Kabul, Afghanistan.

In this national program, we provide necessary financial and technical support to three top teams, so that together, they can take steps to fight poverty, create a positive impact in today and future situation of Afghanistan and implement their entrepreneurship projects through receiving financial supports.

Conditions of participating in the Entrepreneurship Camp:

1. Presence in one of the Afghanistan’s provinces,
2. Being student at the undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral level at university or graduate of university,
3. Having a creative entrepreneurship project,
4. Being between 22 and 35 years old.

Conditions for Entrepreneurship Team:

1. Choosing a creative name for your team and the entrepreneurship project,
2. Selecting four members as the team’s members, who can only be male or female. Mixed-gender teams will not be accepted,
3. All team members should be the resident of same province,
4. Team members can not be from the same family or immediate relatives

Entrepreneurship Project Content:

1. Your entrepreneurship project must address one of the social or economic challenges of your relevant province,
2. The main goals of the project should be specified,
3. The potential outcomes of the project must be identified,
4. The capacity for creating jobs and employment through your project should be determined,
5. The timeline for implementing the entrepreneurship project should be considered for at least a maximum duration of one year.

Selection Method of Top three teams:

All youth from 34 provinces of Afghanistan can participate and compete in the “Entrepreneurship Camp” of the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO), which among all the participating teams in this camp, three top teams will be selected as winning teams through following method:

1. Your project will be put to a vote nationally and internationally through the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO) website,
2. From the time of announcing the program; each team has the opportunity to present & campaign their projects in their respective province and areas of project implementation for a total duration of one month (from 1st, May, 2023 to 31st, May, 2023),
3. Only one team with the highest vote among all teams in each province will be invited to participate and compete in final stage of “Entrepreneurship Camp” at Kabul,
4. Two representatives from the top teams of each province will present their entrepreneurship project at the “Entrepreneurship Camp” to judges of the program, and all travel expenses to Kabul will be paid by AELSO,
5. The judges of the program will select the top three teams among all the participated teams of the “Entrepreneurship Camp” for financial and technical support after a transparent evaluation process and the presentation of team’s projects in-person at final program in Kabul,
6. The top teams will be selected based on 30% of the votes of citizens and 70% of the votes of the “Entrepreneurship Camp” judges.

Financial Support of Entrepreneurship Camp:

At the end of the “Entrepreneurship Camp”, the top three teams will be selected based on the votes of citizens and evaluations by judges, and will receive financial and technical support ranging from 50,000 to 300,000 Afghanis. All competitors and teams are required to prepare their projects and plans within this budget limit. Projects outside of this limit will not be considered!

Therefore, make sure that your project can actually be executed within this budget range.

Judges will evaluate all aspects and select the top three projects as the first, second, and third winners, in which the highest amount of financial support awarded to the first winner of the program.

Conditions of Financial Support for Entrepreneurship Projects:

1. Be one of Top three winning teams at the “Entrepreneurship Camp” of AELSO,
2. Have the capability to provide written guarantees to ensure practical implementation of the entrepreneurship project,
3. Providing the environment for AELSO executive team to monitor and oversee the implementation process of your entrepreneurship project,
4. Submitting monthly report of project implementation progress by the leader of the team to AELSO,
5. After winning within a year, if the projects are not fully implemented, the prize money will be returned back to AELSO,
6. The responsibility for returning the prize money to AELSO depends on the leader and guarantee of team,
7. Due to accurate reporting and ensuring that the plan will be implemented correctly, the amount of money will be paid in instalments to the winners, taking into account the progress and implementation of the operational plan, until the winning teams provide convincing reasons.

Registration Process of Entrepreneurship Camp:

To apply & register for the “Entrepreneurship Camp” and compete with creative and talented youth at the national level in Afghanistan, please complete the following steps:

1. Download the “Entrepreneurship Camp” form by clicking here and after completing it, send it to the email address [email protected],
2. Explain the details of your entrepreneurship project including; the team name, objectives, location of the plan, usefulness in solving a specific community problem, effectiveness in reducing poverty, and how the plan will create jobs for at least 10 to 50 people in the coming year, in a 2-4 minute short video,
3. Send your entrepreneurship project introduction video, including the team leader’s name and project implementation location, via Telegram to +93744020502.
