Kandahar Youth Introduced to Entrepreneurial Skills
The Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO), in partnership with Malalai Higher Education Institute, held an entrepreneurship seminar in Kandahar province.
During the seminar, speakers underscored the importance and impact of entrepreneurship in today’s world. They described it as a vital tool for reducing poverty, creating sustainable jobs, driving social change, enhancing quality of life, improving social well-being, and fostering economic growth, calling it the engine of the global economy.
The speakers stressed the need to promote and culturally embrace entrepreneurship within society, asserting that it is essential for Afghanistan’s progress in the current landscape. They recommended that economic policymaking in Afghanistan prioritize entrepreneurship to achieve meaningful economic development.
Trainers at the program engaged in detailed discussions on various facets of entrepreneurship, providing participants with scientific guidelines to help them navigate and expand their businesses. They also offered insights on how to participate in and compete in the AELSO Entrepreneurship Camp 2025.
In another part of the seminar, participants explored entrepreneurial opportunities in Kandahar province, identifying potential in sectors like agriculture, livestock, and local production. They highlighted how entrepreneurship could play a significant role in alleviating poverty and driving economic progress.
At the end of the program, organizers called for innovative thinking, risk-taking, the acquisition of modern skills and knowledge, the cultivation of an entrepreneurial culture, the enhancement of entrepreneurial capabilities, the creation of supportive environments, and active participation in entrepreneurial competitions.
The Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization extended its gratitude to all speakers, guests, trainers, participants, and Malalai University, pledging to continue and enhance such programs.
