Entrepreneurship Seminar for Youths in the Western Zone of Afghanistan

The Entrepreneurship Seminar, initiated by the Afghanistan Economic & Legal Studies Organization in collaboration with Jami University and other partner organizations, aimed to introduce and identify opportunities and utilize entrepreneurial possibilities for economic development, prosperity, and ending poverty, in the Herat province of Afghanistan.

In this program, more than 150 youths, university professors, the leadership of Jami University, leadership of Sustainable Development Business Hub, and students from various public and private universities actively participated.

During the Seminar, Mohammad Hanif Farzan, the Chairman of AELSO, discussed the strategic outlook of organization regarding entrepreneurship and prosperity. And Dr. Atiqullah Rahimi, the Academic Deputy of Jami University, also spoke on the role of universities in promoting and institutionalizing knowledge of entrepreneurship and prosperity in Afghanistan.

In the second part of the program, Abdul Qaher Beheshti, Programs Director of AELSO, discussed about entrepreneurship and its requirements, as well as practical solutions for entrepreneurship.

Azizullah Samet, the Deputy of the Faculty of Economics at Jami University, presented practical and up-to-date content on effective strategies for achieving economic development, prosperity, and poverty reduction through education and institutionalization of entrepreneurial knowledge and skills in Afghanistan.

Continuing the program, the viewpoints and questions of the participants were addressed, and the youth were encouraged to take action using practical strategies for entrepreneurship and poverty alleviation in Afghanistan. The Afghanistan Economic & Legal Studies Organization and its strategic partners support the entry of youth into the market as new entrepreneurs. In support of economic initiatives by young entrepreneurs, the Entrepreneurship Camp 2024 will be competitively held among students from all collaborating universities.

Imran Amini, one of the participants in the program, spoke to the youth of the country and said, “We appreciate the effective programs of AELSO organization and collaborating institutions in the entrepreneurship sector. I urge the youth of Afghanistan to take action and implement their entrepreneurial ideas with confidence in their skills. We, as youth, need to embrace risks to achieve great successes on the path of entrepreneurship.”

In the last part of the Entrepreneurship Seminar, the latest books published by Afghanistan Economic & Legal Studies Organization, presented to Jami University leadership and professors, also certificates of participation were distributed to the program participants.
