Yar Mohammad Yari is currently working as a Legal adviser with the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) – Afghanistan. He is responsible for promoting International Humanitarian law through providing advisory and technical support to the government, academicians and civil society organizations in Afghanistan.

Yari is currently pursuing his PhD degree in the field of Public International Law in Azad Islamic University (Central Tehran Branch). He owes a master degree in Public international law from Paym-e- Noor University Kabul Afghanistan and a BA in philosophy from Kabul University. He also has  diploma on International Human Right law from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore Italy. He attended many training’s and conferences related to International Human Rights law and International Humanitarian Law inside as well as outside the country.

Yari has more than 10 years of work experience with International Humanitarian organizations such as CARE international and Action Aid International in Afghanistan. He has a rich experience in program advisory, M&E, Research, Training, Human Rights Based Approach and Program coordination.

In addition, in past 10 years he served as volunteer instructor of Public International law, Research methodology and Human Rights law and International Humanitarian law in government and private universities.
