The Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO) on the occasion of its 10 Years Anniversary in Advancing of Liberty in Afghanistan had the honor to host Dr. Tom G. Palmer, George M. Yeager Chair for Advancing Liberty, Executive Vice President for International Programs at Atlas Network, and a board member of the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO) in Kabul, Afghanistan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Tom G. Palmer is an international advocates and scholar for peace, individual liberty and prosperity, who is travelling to all over the world for promotion and supporting of the think tanks and organizations who are working for libertarian ideas. And the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO) has the honor of working with Dr. Palmer since its establishment in Afghanistan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Afghanistan is one of the war-torn countries and promotion of the libertarian ideas is very essential. Despite all the challenges which exist for our works in Afghanistan, the last decade was full of achievements for the AELSO\u2019s team; we successfully reached to thousands of people and provided them the opportunities to learn, promote and work for liberty, peace, tolerance and prosperity in Afghanistan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Based on our annual plan, we invited Dr. Tom G. Palmer from the United States to give speeches and presentations in many prestigious institutions of Afghanistan and as one of the key founder of AELSO celebrate our 10 years\u2019 achievements for freedom and prosperity with us; and in below you can read a brief report from all the events that Dr. Palmer participated and talked about many important issues of the classical liberalism ideas (02 \u2013 05 Dec 2019):<\/span><\/p>\n

Interview with Pieshgam TV (02 Dec, 2019)<\/span> <\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

Pieshgam TV is one of the most famous educational private TVs of Afghanistan, that they are producing educational video programs and has a lot of viewers in the country. On the first day and hours of Dr. Palmer\u2019s arrivals in Kabul, he had a wonderful interview with the Pieshgam TV and talked about Free Market & Individual Liberty on one of the educational programs of the TV station. Also beside his interview he had the opportunity to meet with the Director of this TV station along with the owner of the TV Mr. Ahmad Sha Sankdel.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meeting with Dunya University Chancellor and Head of Faculties (02 Dec, 2019)<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

Dunya University is also one of the most prestigious private universities of Afghanistan and the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO) has a long term partnership with this university.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the Dec 2, 2019 Dr. Palmer along with Mr. Khalid Ramizy, CEO and few other members of AELSO visited this university and met with Mr. Ahamad Shah Sankdel the chancellor and a few other faculties members of this university. On this meeting the both side talked regarding joint cooperation and future programs of AELSO with Dunya University.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meeting with H.E Sayed Khalilullah Anwari, Leader of Harkat Islami Party and the Deputy of Afghanistan\u2019s Parliament (02 Dec, 2019)<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

Dr. Palmer with Mr. Khalid Ramizy and a few members of AELSO on Dec 02, 2019 met with H.E Sayed Khalilullah Anwari, Leader of Harkat Islami Party which is one of the biggest parties of Afghanistan. The party and their all members devoted their entire life on fighting against communism and former Soviet Union in Afghanistan.<\/span><\/p>\n

On this meeting H.E Ahmad Shah Ramazan, deputy and Mrs. Helay Ershad, Mrs. Raihana Azad, Mr. Said Muqtader the members of Afghanistan\u2019s parliament were also shared their views to Dr. Palmer that how we can bring peace and liberty in Afghanistan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Young Leaders Summit for the Future of Afghanistan (03 Dec, 2019)<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

The Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO) with cooperation of Rana University organized a full day summit under the title of \u201cYoung Leaders Summit for the Future of Afghanistan\u201d with the aim of education of the free society values, how youths can work for a better future of Afghanistan by their political, economic and social participation and what are the practical steps to make the future of Afghanistan great in 3rd<\/sup> December 2019 in Kabul, Afghanistan.<\/span><\/p>\n

On this summit more than 380 university students, civil and human rights activists, and policy makers participated. also a number of well-known Afghan scholars, politicians, and human rights activist, well known writers and journalist shared their thoughts and views to how we work for the future of Afghanistan in order to be a free and prosperous society.<\/span><\/p>\n

On this summit we also had the honor of hosting of Dr. Tom G. Palmer, George M. Yeager for Advancing Liberty and an international advocates and scholars who is working for promotion and education of the classical liberal ideas across the world. Dr. Palmer talked about Leadership in a Freedom Movement for the participants of this summit.<\/span><\/p>\n

The summit was covered by more than 10 national and international media who are working in Afghanistan and they all broadcasted the summit on their many programs.<\/span><\/p>\n

The summit covers various topics, from the contribution of free markets to prosperity, the importance of human rights and the rule of law, to the connection between religion and individual liberty.<\/span><\/p>\n

In different group working the young leaders of Afghanistan concluded and presented their ideas for bringing of peace, liberty and prosperity in Afghanistan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Afghanistan Economic & Legal Studies Organization (AELSO) jointly with Dunya University organized a seminar on liberty, peace, & prosperity and Dr. Palmer talked about the aforementioned values and ideas for about 200 + students of this university.<\/span><\/p>\n

Interview of Dr. Tom G. Palmer with the Capitalism program of Silk Road Station (<\/strong>04 Dec, 2019)<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

Silk Road Station<\/a> is one of our biggest and long-term projects in AELSO and this project is dedicated to educates and enhance the knowledge of Afghan people through presenting of different educational radio programs about market economy and other free society values. In the year of 2019 our programs were not only presented by online streaming system but also broadcasted by 4 national FM radios of Afghanistan and until now approximately our programs listened by more than 600,000 individuals.<\/span><\/p>\n

On one of these programs we had the honor to have Dr. Tom G. Palmer as the guest speaker and he talked about Free Market as a tool for bringing of peace, love, & liberty.<\/span><\/p>\n

Leaders at Rana is one of the most prestigious and biggest events of Rana University in Afghanistan which they are inviting well-known politicians and scholars to talk about their different life steps and persuade the Rana students that how they can also follow them as a role model on their life.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Dec 04, 2019 Dr. Palmer was the guest speaker of Leaders at Rana and he talked about his life, educational background and how he is now working in the world for promotion of classical liberalism ideas.<\/span><\/p>\n

The students and audience asked many questions from Dr. Palmer and at the end of the program Rana University appreciated from all Dr. Palmer\u2019s work in the world and Afghanistan by presenting of a \u201cChapan\u201d which is an Afghani traditional and an appreciation letter.<\/span><\/p>\n

10th<\/sup> Anniversary of AELSO, International Human Rights Conference & Introducing of 12 Personalities as Freedom Champions <\/strong>(<\/strong>05 Dec, 2019)<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

The world knows that Afghanistan was suffered from insecurity and war for a long period and every infrastructure of this community has been destroyed in every aspect especially human rights and freedom, so there is a strong need for advocates and activists to promote liberty and values of free society.<\/span><\/p>\n

Working for values of free society in a closed and very restricted society like Afghanistan is very difficult and even life-threatening. But we are more than proud to say that, Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO) as the leading free market think tank of Afghanistan and by the generous support of our respected donors and partners, has worked hard for the promotion of these high values and has been ultimately successful so far. Over the past 10 years, we have initiated dozens of seminars and workshops on the elimination of violence against women, promotion of free society values, peace and tolerance. We have educated thousands of Afghan youths and created a lot of internship and education opportunities for Afghans to understand their basic rights and work for peace and liberty in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the past 10 years AELSO accomplished its mission in Afghanistan very successfully, and we are grateful from all those people who supported us and committed to work for the promotion of free market economy, the rule of law, individual freedom, human rights and other free society values in Afghanistan.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Dec 05, 2019 in a very big event at Queens Palace of Babur Garden\u2019s in Kabul beside the organizing of International Human Rights Conference the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization celebrated from its 10th<\/sup> anniversary in advancing of liberty in Afghanistan with a number of scholars, university students, policy makers, civil society and human rights activist, journalist and the members of AELSO.<\/span><\/p>\n

Based on a survey from the Afghanistan Economic and Legal Studies Organization (AELSO), we identified 12 personalities as freedom champions and on this event these 12 national and international personalities introduced as Freedom Champions who are working in different countries with a lot of challenges for promotion of liberty.<\/span><\/p>\n
